Katrin Schütz is state secretary in the Ministry of the Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing.
Katrin Schütz was born on 20 March, 1967 in Ettlingen (Germany), and subsequently completed an apprenticeship in the skill of dressmaking. For many years, Schütz was the managing director of a mid-sized enterprise, and trained young people in the commercial area.
From 2006 to May 2016, she was a member of the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg and a member of the Finance and Economics Committee, the Science Committee and the chairperson of the Integration Committee. From 2014 to 2016, she was secretary general of the CDU in Baden-Württemberg. She has also been a member of the Executive Board of the CDU Parliamentary Group from Baden-Württemberg since 2009.
She is a member and chairperson of advisory boards, supervisory boards and executive boards at various institutions.
On 12 May, 2016, Katrin Schütz was appointed State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
Katrin Schütz has two sons.
